The “Taste of Tuscany” tour spans 7 days and takes you to some of Tuscany’s most renowned locations allowing you to experience some of the many treasures this wonderful region has to offer.

Cortona

Stroll along the narrow medieval streets and onto the main piazza, which offers stunning views over the Val di Chiana and Lago Trasimeno. Visit the world-famous Museo dell Accademia Etrusca di Cortona and explore ancient vicoli lined with wonderful boutiques, clothing, ceramics, leatherware and jewellery. Easily explored on foot, the atmosphere and beauty of timeless Cortona make it one of the pearls of Tuscany.

Siena and San Gimignano

Experience the beautiful city of Siena, famous for ‘Il Palio’ bareback horse race. Spend time at the spectacular Piazza del Campo where you can enjoy lunch or an espresso whilst watching the passing parade. Visit The Mangia Tower and the spectacular Duomo, the Museum, Crypt and Baptistery. Step back in time to visit the medieval town of San Gimignano, famous for its towers and excellent white wine ‘Vernaccia di San Gimignano’, climb the 200 internal steps of La Torre Grossa and experience the breathtaking views of the Elsa Valley.

Florence

The historical part of this city is contained in a small area and within a half hour walking distance of Santa Maria del Fiore, also known as Il Duomo. Visit the extraordinary Ponte Vecchio – bridge over the Arno River, with a multitude of shops built on its edges and held up by stilts. The famous San Lorenzo market in the historical centre of the city offers an abundance of clothing and leatherware and Mercato Centrale houses the city’s vibrant food market.

Chianti

Experience the stunning countryside of this famous wine-growing region. Visit wonderful castles and sample the unforgettable wines of the region. ‘Greve in Chianti’ is always a great stop for a Tuscan lunch while you can sample the famous locally produced Tuscan ham and salami at ‘Falorni’ - an ancient shop in the main square. Finish up at ‘Radda in Chianti’ for a stroll, espresso or gelato! Two free days are incorporated into this tour, where you can take in the wonderful surroundings of your accommodation. Enjoy leisurely walks or laze by the magnificent pool. Alternatively we can drive you to another small township in the vicinity, such as Castiglion FIorentino where you can explore the surroundings. On any given weekday you’ll find wonderful treasures at the local markets.
